The associate chemist is responsible for the timely assay of routine testing for raw materials, finished products and stability samples utilizing current cGMPs, cGLPs, SOPs, and current laboratory instrumentation. The associate chemist supports method development, validations, and other special projects, as requested, under the supervision of senior laboratory staff. The associate chemist performs other basic laboratory duties, as directed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Perform physical and chemical analysis of incoming finished products, stability samples, raw materials, and special requests. * Perform routine maintenance checks and calibration verifications on various equipment. * Enter, store and maintain information in written or electronic form. * Provide information to appropriate personnel. Job Specifications: Minimum * BS in Chemistry or related laboratory science required. * Minimum of 1 – 2 years lab experience. Preferred * Knowledge of UV-VIS and general wet chemistry procedures. * Knowledge of HPLC. * Experience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or similar industry. Skills and Abilities * Must have excellent writing and communication skills. * Must work well with minimal supervision.
