Corporate Quality Systems Leader
Summary/Purpose
The Sr. Corporate Quality Systems Leader is responsible for developing and implementing a common Quality Management System across North America. This common system must integrate all corporate functions’ responsibilities for Quality Management and meet the requirements of ISOxxxx/ TSxxxx9, all customer specific requirements and promote common best practices from among all the sites of company in North America.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
• Develop, implement, and improve common systems across all North America’s Corporate functions which meets international automotive quality standards and customer requirements.
• Lead & Drive Corporate QMS Champion meetings to come to consensus on Corporate common processes
• Advise and direct various levels of the organization on ISOxxxx/TSxxxx9 and Customer Specific Requirements and Interpretations
• Develop and track reporting methods for Corporate and Plant external and internal audit activities.
• Develop, evaluate, select, implement and maintain a common document control system for all corporate functions’ responsibilities for the QMS.
• Administrate necessary maintenance on common sites such as SharePoint, FrontPage, Lotus Notes and other web-based document control systems.
• Develop and implement internal audit plan for all corporate functions
• Participate in and conduct internal audits [system and process] at corporate and plant locations
• Provide coaching and training on QMS systems and tools such as Customer Specific Requirements, ISOxxxx/TSxxxx9 Requirements, Document Control, Corrective and Preventive Action.
• Learn and understand company Japan Quality Initiatives such as Quality Action Plans, QA Network, QC Evaluation Assessments, 4M Change Point control.
• Provide input to and support investigation and countermeasures for root causes of ISOxxxx/TSxxxx9 non conformances.
• Liaison with external auditors to facilitate conflicts with company sites and to obtain resolution.
• Support plant visits by customers related to system and process audits.
• Determine feasibility of a common quality system across 20 North America Plant sites
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Strong automotive understanding, technical capability, professionalism in dealing with customers and all levels of the organization.
• Strong understanding and experience of ISOxxxx/TSxxxx9 Quality System Requirements.
• Strong understanding and experience of automotive customer specific requirements.
• Understanding of automotive core tools including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, and MSA.
• Advanced computer and Microsoft Office product skills.
• Advanced web-based system knowledge and skills
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong statistical and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision.
• Ability to travel, as required, to provide quality management support to all company facilities. Up to 30% travel is required.
• Basic knowledge of applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems.
• Previous experience developing and implementing a document control system is preferred.
The above may be waived by the department Manager and the Human Resources Manager if the candidate is otherwise qualified.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math, or Science or equivalent level of job experience
• ASQ CQE Certification is preferred.
• 5+ years of automotive quality systems experience including direct responsibility for implementation and/or maintenance of the ISOxxxx/TSxxxx9 system.
• Lead Auditor certification for ISOxxxx/TSxxxx9 is required with a minimum of 3 years performing TS internal audits.
