Role Summary/Purpose: The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer : Combustion will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives.
Essential Responsibilities:
As the Senior Supplier Quality Engineer : Combustion, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long:term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
In addition, you will:
:Manage supplier activities to ensure the quality of assigned Gas Turbine components.
:Be the technical focal point to coordinate Sourcing, Design and Materials Engineering functions while interfacing with suppliers
:Drive consistency and adherence to quality procedures and specification requirements
:Manage supplier qualifications as required assuring that assigned suppliers have capability and processes to deliver high quality product
:Conduct surveillance audits to assure that Suppliers have effective process control, rigorous product acceptance standards, and robust quality systems
:Provide technical guidance to suppliers to assure product / process compliance with engineering drawings and specifications
:Drive continuous improvement of suppliers quality, cycle, and delivery performance
:Manage supplier non:conformance and SDR (Supplier Deviation Request) activities, and identify and drive process improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
:Conduct process capability analysis for Critical to Quality (CTQ) characteristics
:Work with suppliers to improve process capability
:Work closely with commercial, engineering and manufacturing teams to eliminate any barriers that may affect the quality and delivery of sourced components
:Support Sourcing Quality and cost initiatives
:Provide Sourcing Quality input to Engineering during product design reviews
:Lead cross functional initiatives to improve part quality
Qualifications/Requirements:
:Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience / knowledge
:Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Supplier Quality or Engineering
